This was Brian's first elk hunt. He was treated to the amazing spectacle of the Jamboree on his first morning. He was surrounded by nearly 30 bulls bugling and fighting in the trees. He never had a clean shot on his morning hunt. Later that afternoon he and Clay were hunting in the same area from a ground blind. This bull came down along the top of a wooded ridge, pushing a group of cows. There was a small opening in the trees and Brian made a perfect 300 yard shot as the bull stepped into the opening.
