Hoss has been hunting with Santa Fe Outfitters for several years. He took this bull at 420 yards across a canyon on the second day of his hunt. After passing on three bulls earlier in the morning, Hoss, Keith and Clay set up on a rock out-cropping and watched as several groups of elk moved from the meadows into the timber. He had plenty of time to wait for the bull and set up for the shot.
