Stan Guse
guide(s):
Alan Fulmer
Stan enjoyed watching his friend Pete Carlson harvest a bull on opening morning. On the third day of the hunt Stan got to return the favor. Stan, Pete and Alan were among bugling bulls all morning as the herd moved up toward the cliffs to bed. They were patient as they stalked the herd and were treated to a morning full of elk vocalizations; cows mewing, whining and chirping and bulls roaring and bugling. When they finally got close to the cliffs they were able to catch this magnificent bull working along a game trail above them. A quick cow call from Alan got the bull's attention and gave Stan the time he needed to make his 140 yard shot.
